FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Cypherpunk Code and how to use it.
General
What is Cypherpunk Code?
A freedom education index of curated cypherpunk and cryptocurrency resources. We index, score, and sequence material — courses, papers, guides, documentation, and manifestos — with editorial judgment to cut trading noise.
Is this a course platform?
No. We do not host courses or videos. We index and link to external resources, adding metadata, Cypherpunk Scores, and learning path sequences. Think of us as a wiki-style catalog with editorial curation.
Is it free?
Yes. 100% free, permanently. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no accounts required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Browse the entire catalog, all learning paths, and all documentation without signing up.
Is this financial advice?
No. This is an education index. Nothing here constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice.
Studying
Where do I start?
- Read How to Study (Bottom → Top)
- Follow the Cypherpunk Foundations path
- Then move to Bitcoin Sovereignty
How long does it take to complete all paths?
At 30 minutes/day: approximately 6 months for all 6 paths. Most learners focus on 2–3 paths (3–4 months).
Can I skip the philosophy and go straight to Bitcoin?
You can, but we do not recommend it. Understanding why privacy and sovereignty matter makes the technical material meaningful. The philosophy path is only 1–2 weeks.
What is the Cypherpunk Score?
An editorial rating (1–10) for how relevant a resource is to privacy, sovereignty, and cryptography. See Cypherpunk Score Explained.
How do I filter out trading content?
Set the CP Score filter to 7+ in the catalog. This removes most trading-focused content.
Platform
What languages are supported?
The platform UI and resource metadata are available in English, French, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified). Original resource content remains in its source language.
How do I suggest a resource?
Contact @sapherpunk on X with the URL and why it belongs in the catalog.
How do I report a broken link?
Contact @sapherpunk on X. Include the resource name and what happens when you click the link.
Is my browsing tracked?
No. We do not use user tracking, analytics cookies, or behavioral profiling.
Can I export the catalog data?
Not yet. The catalog database (resources.json, paths.json) will be published under an open license in Q3 2026, when the submission form ships. Full JSON/CSV export tooling is planned for Phase 3. See Openness Policy.
Is the project open source?
Not yet. The application codebase is private while auth, wallet sign-in, and admin tooling mature. The live site, documentation, mission, and roadmap are public. We open data first, code second — catalog data in Q3 2026; application source in stages afterward. See Openness Policy.
Community
How do I join the community?
The community is private. Contact @CHxmrBrother on X. Membership requires meeting in person, face to face.
Can I contribute?
Resource suggestions and feedback are welcome. Contact @sapherpunk on X.
How do I donate?
Bitcoin and Monero addresses are on the About page. No payment processors, no KYC.
Roadmap
Will there be a mobile app?
The web platform is already mobile-responsive. A Solana Seeker dApp is planned for 2027+ as a secondary channel. See Project Roadmap.
Will there be onchain certificates?
Yes — free verifiable certificates (Soulbound tokens on Solana) are planned for 2027. See Project Roadmap.
Will you add more resources?
Yes. The catalog is maintained and expanded continuously. Community submissions will be formalized in Phase 2.
Will you ever charge for content?
No. The platform will always be free for learners. The project is sustained through sponsorships, grants, donations, and related channels — never learner fees.
